Caminandes Llamigos

"Caminandes: Llamigos" Competition Rescore

“Excellent themes, and orchestration. Great spotting choices and a very precise use of different styles!”

“I loved the playful theme and orchestration. The transitions through the scenes flow flawlessly.”

Prepare to be overwhelmed by cuteness! For a new competition at the Cue Tube film network, I rescored the soundtrack to Caminandes 3: Llamigos. In this animated film, it's winter in Patagonia and food is scarce. Koro the Llama engages with Oti the pesky penguin in an epically adorable fight over that last tasty berry. Dedicated to my own llamigo, Jay Piamjariyakul, my vivid and witty soundtrack brings this charming story to life. Enjoy!

Trials of Reincarnation: Film Soundtrack

I composed the soundtrack and trailer music for the superhero action adventure epic ‘Trials of Reincarnation’, directed by Tyler DiNuzzo of Electra Studios. This young superhero film successfully combines heroism and comedy. Wacky jazz themes represent some of the funnier points of the storyline in the soundtrack, whilst darker themes portray the antagonist’s evil intentions for the film’s hero. The following playlist includes some selected highlights from the soundtrack. I hope you enjoy it!

Sleuth

I watch way too many crime TV series, so I decided to compose a quirky detective theme of my own. ‘Sleuth’, a short piece that would suit the opening titles of a light private investigator drama.

Wild Swimming: An InFilm Documentary

Ever felt like taking a dip in a freezing lake or at a wintry seaside? Well, if anything can persuade you, this short documentary from InFilm Productions about Bristol University’s very own Wild Swimming Society can. I scored the soundtrack quickly over a couple of days and had a lot of fun experimenting with pizzicato strings. Directed by Alice Chancellor and produced by Aoife Daly, the film shows the wild swimming experience from beginning to end, with particular emphasis on the community that resolves around the activity. I hope you enjoy this result of the whole team's hard work.

Trailer music for "The King's World: Battle of the Soul"

I wrote this trailer soundtrack to Goldenmoral Studio's 'Battle of the Soul' film trailer. The trailer foreshadows the 'Lord of the Rings'-esque saga that the director Asher Pike has planned for his movies.

The director wanted the trailer to capture both the sadness and loneliness of the protagonist, Arcaydes, and the epic excitement that comes with the action and future potential of the film series, so the music I wrote was suitably contrasting between desolation and fantastical climax.

Dying Magic

'Dying Magic' is a short mystical score written as a demo for a short film that contrasted imaginative fantasy with melancholic realism. A girl lives in a world of dreams and magic, but when she loses her sight, her world darkens.

Highlights from the soundtrack of "Espionage Worldwide"

"Highlights from the soundtrack of ‘Espionage Worldwide’" is intended as an orchestral piece that stands alone to what would be a full film soundtrack. It would therefore act as an arrangement of several key cues in this film. This is piece was composed as a response to the following brief: “Compose a piece for a spy thriller set in exotic locations. The music must depict at least three contrasted scenes, which should be indicated on the score.”

In my composition, there are four movements, each set in different contrasting locations, in chronological order, to reflect the story, as described briefly below. They are as follows:

  1. Opening Logos & Mission Briefing (no specific exotic theme intended)
  2. Arrival in Shanghai & Kung Fu Face-off (China)
  3. The Spanish Bedroom (Spain)
  4. Sahara Showdown (Africa)
